Barefaced blatant self-promotion
Use this thread to promote whatever the hell you want, products, services, other forums... (except porn and all that politically incorrect stuff that can get both of our arses kicked out of here)
Off you go!
Off you go!

OK. Here's a picture of a bracelet that I made recently:
It was inspired by a Japanese abacus, and the beads actually move up and down on the bars. Sterling silver with one 9k gold bead at the top of each stack.
Oh, and here's a ring that I made too:
Two seperate pieces that combine along a diagonal slant to be worn as one... polished 9k gold and sandblasted silver.

I've never been a fan of personal ornaments myself, but that ring is gorgeous! I love the contrast between the shiny gold and the grainy silver, and the simplicity of it all. Very chic.
So Don, do you design jewelry? That's pretty astounding!

Thanks! And yes- guilty as charged. I originally studied Industrial Design at artschool, but now I'm more into jewelry design and making, and am hoping to eventually return to artschool, graduate, then pursue a career in the jewelry industry.
The ring is actually made from two seperate pieces (as you can clearly see in this pre-finishing photo):
Your photos look great! Nice use of perspective in the 45 degree angle shot. The police mugshot was interesting too... although you look a little too elegant to be a REAL criminal IMO. I took a similar mugshot for an artschool project a while back, when I visited the local police station for the day.

Oh, I see... hehe... nicely done... one could perhaps be forgiven for even thinking that you were part of the original advertising campaign.
Well, some more shameless self-promotion. Here's what I learned how to do today:
creating this:
and then turning it into this:
Gotta love what can be done with C.A.D. software these days... I'm hoping to improve the level of complexity once I'm more familiar with the ins and and outs of the programme.

Re: Barefaced blatant self-promotion
okay, sorry I think I missed the whole "plug" thing and accidentally plugged myself in the introductions part... but here it is again:
http://apex.darkbb.com
It focuses on writers of various types, and it is the second forum I've tried to put together like, ever. And being not-so internet html savvy I am sticking to the easy options and there are little things here and there that need improvement. Anyone is welcome to give advice on how to improve. I've already had a few suggestions from your lovely board leader .
By the way I rather like The Liber Boards (I still haven't figured out what a liber is, though?). Good fun indeed.

Glad you like it!
"liber" is latin for "book", simply
